This is inspiring. Holi is a Hindu celebration of life. In 2010 Holi will be celebrated on March 1st. You can read more about this glorious holiday here. These photos of Holi celebrations are to guide us in our next shoot.
I just ordered some of this lovely paint, in the following colors. If anyone would like to donate to the cost of the paints, that would be nice. I was thinking $2 per person, though it isn't mandatory.
For the shoot on August 20th, We will be combining the face-paint idea with the floral idea by decorating each other with powder paint and flowers!!!

Tissue Paper Flowers!!!! To tie the themes together. Otherwise, The fancy flowers might contrast too much with our slightly-messy selves. Flower tutorial here.

What a beautiful project! For my 10th birthday I had a dozen girls sleep over and my mother taught us how to make these huge tissue flowers!
